Product and Prototype Development

The Company

P&Pd  is an acronym  of “Product And Prototype Development”, which is the principle function of KJ Smith Engineering Ltd.

History –KJ Smith Engineering Ltd began in year 2000, specialising in the design and manufacture of bespoke small to medium size machinery, and in providing practical engineering solutions  to customer needs.  As time went on the business became increasingly involved in the development of cattle handling equipment and equipment connected with farm effluent application. This trend was fueled by the satisfaction gained from successfully applying  creative engineering  to meet the needs of the farmer,  and the flow down effect this has on  farm stock welfare and the health of the land.

The Present and onwards - P&Pd  is the business vehicle by which: field experience and perceptions gained over the last few years , combined with patents obtained during this time,  are being incorporated into products that  benefit the farmer.....

Company ethos:

                - to not dilute focus by promoting a wide range of products, P&Pd will stick to what it does well and with providing ongoing, long term product support.

               - to create products that meet user requirements by being: cost effective, efficient, user friendly, reliable and without   unnecessary complication.

               - the product-user is the “expert” when utilising a product..

               - to offer products at realistic prices that reflect the effort expended on: developing, producing and backing up the products.

               - to conduct business relationships that are: friendly, cooperative, ethical and beneficial to all parties.

...... so that's a brief outline of P&Pd , so now on to the juicy bits .... products that benefit the farmer .... The focus, at present, is with developing a cost effective and non complex effluent reticulation system that begins at the cowshed and finishes at the point of application. Trials are in progress for various parts of the system and these parts will be released to the market as each is thoroughly proven.  Eventually, it is intended that all these parts will form an integrated, cost effective, non-complex, effluent irrigation system..... Expressions of interest are welcome.....  Have a look at the information on this site, see what you think.

Keep dropping in because as products are developed they will be featured ..... Feel welcome to email with questions or suggestions

Kind regards

Kevin Smith (director KJ Smith Engineering Ltd, P&Pd )
